I was wrong

I have never been happier to be wrong in my predictions. I have said before that Top Rank and Golden Boy would never pick Juan Manuel Marquez to be Manny Pacquiao’s next opponent on March 15. David Diaz is the businessman’s choice because Diaz, according to experts, is somewhat beatable and is at a higher weight division (lightweight) than where Pacquiao currently is (super featherweight). The general rule is, thought is doesn’t always apply, is that the higher weight class pays much more. I am happy because the score will now finally be settled between these two fighters. Marquez is the only Mexican that Pacquiao has fought who didn’t get beaten. The draw has been on the minds of many fight fans  finally will now have closure come the ides of March. No need to pay per view!

Did you learn about how Sky Cable sank the hearts of those fight fans who gladly paid premium cinemas in the Metro to watch a good pay-per-view fight and how they gave joy to thousands of others who were just at home? The Mayweather-Hatton megabuck fight costs around 500 pesos to see at SM Megamall, Powerplant Cinema and Gateway Cineplex. Based on my experience watching Pacquiao fights at the cinema, the money I’ll pay so I could just not agonize myself with twenty commercials in a row in between rounds is worth the price of the seat. But to the surprise of many, Sky has shown the fight LIVE on Channel 33 (Balls). Now who in their right mind would pay good money and watch the fight live outside your home if you could watch it in complete comfort at home for FREE?? That’s right, nobody! Of course, this doesn’t apply if you have another cable provider. But for the great percentage of cable subscribers who chose Sky, you know what I mean. They bamboozled those poor aficionados who had Sky at home and had them pay something which can be had for free. This is injustice for the fight fan who has given away their good, hard-earned money when it couldn’t have been converted to a case of San Mig light.

Just search the boxer’s name and you’ll see his complete professional record. A click away are the records of the fighters that the boxer has fought. On this site, you’ll also get to read fresh news, view the boxrec pound for pound rating list and browse the upcoming schedules for your favourite fighters. Probably they can add a forum and make the site a real community for fight fans around the world.

Hip Hop!

My girlfriend gave me a nice advanced Christmas gift yesterday. You see, we have this lose-weight-fast contest with my friends. She’s not losing the weight as much as the guys because of her busy schedule. Therefore, she’s pinning her hopes on me to win it so that she won’t need to pay once she loses. Well, I don’t know if that’s a wise choice because for the past week I’ve been eating like I haven’t joined the game. So my hunnie, who is overflowing with thoughtfulness, bought me the Hip-Hop Abs program by Shaun T. 

Now I’m not getting paid for this post, but you must’ve already seen the infomercials on TV for this product. Those infomercials, by the way, seem so good that I ended up a sucker them on some occasions and actually buy these things. Anyway, I hope to end my procrastinating ways because I’ve been delaying my exercise sessions like the way the DPWH delays their projects. Wish me luck and I hope to win.
